Setting up the DNS configuration

Before you can use domains with NoSpamProxy Cloud, you must prove that you own these domains. In addition, you must make various DNS settings to ensure email security.

  1. Go to Identities > Corporate domains.
  2. Click the domain for which you want to set up the DNS configuration and click Show DNS configuration.
  3. Copy the value shown under TXT to the clipboard and create a DNS record for your domain for this value.

    NOTE: You can delete this DNS entry again successful verification.

  4. Add the expression shown under Sender Policy Framework (SPF) to your existing SPF entry.
  5. Set up the four CNAME entries (and thus the DKIM keys for your domain) permanently with your provider.

    NOTE: Note the TTL (Time to Live) of the previously adjusted CNAME records and make sure they have been adopted before setting up the MX record.

  6. Set up the MX record permanently with your provider
  7. Click Close.

NOTE: Microsoft 365 users may receive an error message after setting up MX records because the records no longer match the default expected values. You can ignore this error message.
