Enabling Office 365 as a relay host

In this step, you allow Microsoft 365 to be used as a relay host in the NoSpamProxy® configuration so that emails can be sent from Microsoft 365 to external communication partners through NoSpamProxy.

Without this configuration, NoSpamProxy will evaluate and reject emails as relay abuse attempts.

NOTE: Make sure that you have set up at least one corporate domain before you start the configuration.

  1. In the NoSpamProxy Command Center, go to Configuration > Email routing > Corporate email servers and click Add.
    Corporate email servers
  2. Select Office 365 tenant and click Next.
    Managing the corporate email servers
  3. Enter the tenant name of your Office 365 environment.
  4. Select one of the following delivery methods:
    • Direct Select this option if you use NoSpamProxy Protection.
    • Via Office 365 Select this option if you only use NoSpamProxy Encryption as a standalone module.
  5. Select an identity for the connection to Office 365:
    • an automatically provided identity or
    • a customised certificate.
  6. Specify the corporate domains that are connected to this corporate email server and click Next.
  7. Enter a comment if required and click Finish.

The corporate email server and the inbound send connector for Office 365 have now been created.
